May’s Walk

After meeting in St Peter’s carpark we walked through St Peter’s Fields to the canal. The sun was shining and we had a lovely stroll along the canal, Three of us were so busy taking pictures of a swan on her nest that we nearly missed where the rest of the group crossed the road to the public footpath to Hadzor, but luckily they waited for us. We went  by the old Catholic press where Bibles used to be printed and then walked down to the Catholic Church. We walked along one of the public footpaths that skirt Gaudet Luce golf course and then back  to the carpark. The walk was about 4 1/2 miles long. Afterwards Pauline treated us to coffee and cake to celebrate her birthday.
